The bell frames have become the roosts of pigeons. There is no sign of any bats here, although they can be seen flying around the village on summer evenings. |

The first-floor tower room stands empty except for a deep carpet of droppings and the corpses of birds. The boards are not safe to walk on. |

The stairs in the stone turret are strewn with droppings and dead pigeons. Climbing them is a noisesome and unhealthy venture. |

The church yard is surrounded by an old brick wall, and in the SW corner are these steps to what is presumably a mounting block (for getting on horses in a ladylike fashion!). |
